Animax Carnival Event



Exciting and anticipated anime and Japanese pop culture convention – Animax Carnival 2016 is back!!! Organized by Asia’s top anime channel – Animax (Astro Channel 715) and sponsored by Inti International University & Colleges and Oishi Green Tea, this carnival is set to bring local fans an authentic Japanese culture for free with 2 days (26th & 27th March) of anime- themed activities in Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre Hall 2 & 3, from 10 am – 6pm.

With more than 25,000 visitors during last year’s carnival, Animax has made this year’s carnival even bigger and wilder by featuring free live performances from three ani- song artists, cosplay competition and merchandise booth and games – Animax academy. For the live performance, it was performed by 3 well known artists – angela, GARNiDELiA & yanaginagi. Fans not only got to catch these amazing artists perform hits from popular anime series, but also got a chance to get close up and personal with them during the fan meetings.


Like past years, Animax has set the stage for cosplay aficionados from all across Malaysia to showcase their costume – making talents and emulation of their favourite anime characters through the cosplay competition. You will be amazed by their effort and the outfits they put on during the competition, which is not only about the price but also their passion for anime.

81EN-Animax-IMG_647481EN-Animax-IMG_8292While waiting for the results of competition, fans could hang around the hall filled with merchandise booths filled with their favourite anime characters such as OO- kun, Fairy Tail, Black Bullet, One Punch Man and Assassination Classroom. In the meantime, Animax also has also set up unique carnival games with the theme of Animax Academy, which consists of a myriad of activity booths that put visitor’s strength, dexterity and intelligence to the test. In order to graduate from the academy, visitors will have to complete all of the games and exchange their score cards for exciting prices. Animax will also be releasing 2 upcoming and highly anticipated anime series: My Hero Academia (premier from 3rd April, every Sunday at 7pm) and Twin Star Exorcists (premier from 6th April, every Wednesday at 10pm). In addition, viewers can also enjoy popular anime series such as Cerberus: Fate of Dark Dragon, One Punch man and Young Black Jack via Astro’s on demand service Astro Plus.
